I really like the shape of this device with the slight angle. I have a different brand that is completely straight and that one is more awkward to use. At first I was disappointed that this one didn't have as many settings as my other device, but I learned that all of those other settings are not necessary. I like that you can just turn it on and as you place it against your skin it works without having to press other buttons, then you just slide it across the area of skin to be treated and it just keeps going. I also like that it has a skin color chart so that you don't have to guess what category you fall under.I do not feel any pain at all when using the device, but I can't vouch for how well it will prevent hair growth in the long term. For now, it seems to be slowing the growth so I assume it will only require very infrequent touch ups in the future.So I am not normally someone who notices packaging but I was seriously impressed with how this was packaged. It was well protected but also just looked very high end. Now, this has zero impact on whether it works or not but if it’s a gift, it looks really nice.I’ve had it about a week and have used it 3x on one leg. I want to just do one leg for a few months to see if it makes any difference. What I’m really hoping for is to be able to use it on my bikini line because I get horrible razor burn with shaving and my skin doesn’t tolerate waxing. I will update my review after I see effects.For now, it’s pretty, has decent instructions, and leaves a slightly irritated sensation for a few minutes starting 15ish minutes after use. I’ve used a level 2 so far. Do not try without eye wear though…it will seriously damage your vision.It looks great, and I have already tried it to remove my hair on the arm. The hair becomes less than before. Works well.Overall it seems to maybe be working but it’s going to take longer than I had hoped. Will have to be consistent and hope for the best but the unit seems to be of nice quality.This is a nice device. I don’t feel any pain when using. Time will tell if it is actually working. It is easy to hold and use. Usually, they give you a razor but feel free to use your own.Make sure you wear safety glasses. Who knows what damage you could do.=does not work on certain skin or hair colors. See the chart that's included in most IPL. People that find they don't work typically have the wrong matches in the chart for compatibility or aren’t waiting a very long time before you see results.This works. However, it is not for darker skintones (as stated) and does not work as well for kinky hair. I would recommend this to someone with fine hair and light skin. Best of all if you are deciding to get laser professionally done, you may try this first. Read the instructions carefully & follow them. This kit is good for a non-professional.I wanted to wait about a month before reviewing and really see if it was working well. Good news, it is. It’s easy to use and with practice, I’ve become quicker. This unit works well on my legs, not as well on coarser hair, and as other reviewers mentioned, it is not a one and done. That said, I do like it and will keep using!
