I’ve never used these types of bun twist styling accessories before, but these seem to work well! They are made of soft black foam that encases a wire. Perfect color for my black hair.I will say that the learning curve for these things is quite steep, but I don’t think that’s due to the design of this product specifically. I’m just completely new to it. I do wish they had included some basic instructions, but it was easy enough to find some videos on YouTube to walk me through the process. What I discovered is that I’m probably not the target audience—my hair is super long and thick, and these types of accessories help fake the look of thicker hair. If your hair is too heavy and thick, they also become more difficult to maneuver.However, the largest bun twist did end up working for me, and I actually quite like how it turned out (see pics). I may use this for a wedding in the near future once I get better at it.
